FAQ > Hope and Positive Investment > Is there hope for peace and an end to the conflict?
We believe that this conflict is about two peoples whose shared history has unfortunately led to a sense of mutual distrust. They need to build up some level of mutual trust for one another so that they may find a way to share this land which, while precious and home to both, is also precious and home historically to the other.
Hope for a solution lies in their finding a way to share the land through creating agreed borders and then moving forward in peace and economic partnership.
As Christians our holiest spot in the Holy Land may be empty - the space of the empty tomb. Perhaps our calling is to hold the space for peace, to protect the space from efforts that would harm one side or the other, and to build up the people of the land until they can claim the space of peace for themselves. We feel the path of positive investment rather than divestment can create that sacred space.
